A Pirate's Life for Me

It was a pirate's life for Connor's 4th birthday. Inspired by Jake and the Neverland Pirates, we set out to make our own original decor for this common theme.

Poly pennants hung from Command hooks helped to tie the decor together throughout the living room and dining room.

I spray painted cheesecloth panels to look like aged-curtains. I made curtain tie backs using paper.

The pirate ships were the focus of the living room and earned the most compliments. I used three plastic buckets and white PVC pipe found at a hardware store. I created wood decks by printing the image on paper and cutting to the size and shape of the buckets.

The coffee table was used as a pirate dress up station. Kids picked up their hat, eye patch, balloon sword and tattoos here.
