Space Party

A Pirate's Life for Me

It was a pirate's life for Connor's 4th birthday. Inspired by Jake and the Neverland Pirates, we set out to make our own original decor for this common theme.

Poly pennants hung from Command hooks helped to tie the decor together throughout the living room and dining room.

I spray painted cheesecloth panels to look like aged-curtains. I made curtain tie backs using paper.

The pirate ships were the focus of the living room and earned the most compliments. I used three plastic buckets and white PVC pipe found at a hardware store. I created wood decks by printing the image on paper and cutting to the size and shape of the buckets.

The coffee table was used as a pirate dress up station. Kids picked up their hat, eye patch, balloon sword and tattoos here.

UNDER THE SEA PARTY

This underwater adventure was done for my friend Connor's 2nd birthday. He is in love with the aquarium and we thought this would be the perfect theme for him and his friends.

"Balloon animal" balloons were used to create seaweed for the  mantel, food table and swim up fish bar.

We created a "swim up fish bar" for the kids using the coffee table. We had various flavors of Goldfish crackers displayed in plastic buckets with shovels. Kids used the Dixie Cups as serving containers.
I made curtains for each of the doorways using curling ribbon.
Jelly Fish made from wired ribbon in multiple widths.

Jelly Fish - Under The Sea Party

Welcome to Done! by Denise!!!

For many years, people have told me that I should have my own party planning business. Well, this is my first step toward that goal.

I've been lucky to be involved with many events in both my personal and professional life. I always pay a great attention to detail and strive to deliver something that is unique and that will have each guest talking long after the party if over.

So welcome to my blog. I'll be sharing ideas and photos from my upcoming projects. Looking for something special? Consider it Done!
